ROC's Initiative to Empower Young Women in Rwanda

Thursday, October 11, 2012
In honor of the International Day of the Girl Child, an observance to acknowledge girl’s rights to equal education and their fundamental freedoms, ROC Partners is announcing a new project, Duhugurane “Let us help each other”.

Duhugurane is a professional and personal development program for young women 18-25 years old. Many Rwandan girls will complete secondary school with few options and/or resources to take the next step into adulthood and their future.  It is the goal of Duhugurane to help these girls discover what amazing talents they have within themselves and how to utilize those in their personal and professional lives.

Rwanda Outreach and Community (ROC) Partners is dedicated to investing in the people of Rwanda through education, community development, and faith-based initiatives. Duhugurane will educate the young women of Rwanda in areas of professional and personal development, which will lead to bigger dreams for themselves and their country.

The objective of Duhugurane is to help the young women of Rwanda establish a dream and give them the skills to begin achieving it.

For more information about Duhugurane, contact Jamie Boiles.
